Ireland 2006 Dec Vol.2.

Still Killarney. This place is just along a narrow curlicued road heading to Killarney. The view is just amazing, they call it 'Ladies view'. Even in winter you can enjoy these breathtaking sights, so I highly recommend to go whenever you'd like to. Although just try to imagine the same view in green, full of flowers... so maybe summer is a better choice :)

Next day we started off for the 'Ring of Kerry', and this beach is just there. Picturesque, isn't it? I mean there are mountains (or let's call them hills instead) are around you on the coast, and the beach is sandy, AND there is absolutely NOBODY there. (in winter LOL) The sea is cold, so only enjoyable for a nice walk along the beach. Very romantic, the noise of the sea just echoes soft, and that is the only thing you hear.

Going a few miles around the peninsula you may find really old ruins, such as a 2000 year old fortress or this very early medieval castle. And you know what? The country is full of these monuments, you can't even see them all.

Now this place was amazing. The best of all. 'Cliffs of Moher' on the northwestern coast. All those cliffs you see behind me I have climbed them! (Climb I mean walking along the edge of the rock) Sometimes it was very frightening to look under, but I never went to close to the edge and there was no wind, so there was no danger of falling, even though that the area was closed. Nobody cared about that, just climbed the fence and went. Absolutely worth it!! Suddenly you feel the power of nature and feel so small and weak, and the only thing you can do is wonder around and marvel how did you get here. Fantastic!!!
Could tell you a lot more, but I am afraid I can only fulfill these needs in person :)
Hugs,
